| 1914 | 23 May. 1914 9 starters at the first of the "Inter Varsity" sprints. TS Coate's 10hp Singer (56 secs) beat JW Read's 25hp Vauxhall (63.6 secs), now described as an ex Hancock works car with a racing body. W Scott's 15.9hp Theophile Schneider best on formula. TS Coates won cyclecar class 57.4 secs It becomes apparent that Motor dealers brought along their latest sporting models to do demonstrations before wealthy undergraduates. This added to the interest on the day. Oxford University won. |

Leon Cushman's Bugatti took four best times, others going to Milward, HR Godfrey (GN) Woolf Barnato (Hispano Suiza) HV Barlow (Ansaldo) and CJ Nesbitt-Dufort's Talbot. |
